Riyadh: Saudi Arabia’s interior ministry has in the last few days arrested 88 people on terrorism charges in different parts of the country.

Of the total, three are Yemenis, one of undetermined nationality and the rest are Saudis, the interior ministry said in a statement, adding that 59 more suspects had been detained previously.

The ministry said some of those arrested are those who once served jail sentences for terror-related crimes, noting that the arrests foiled some planned terrorist operations inside and outside Saudi Arabia, Xinhua reported.

Saudi Arabia has been suffering from terrorism at home and abroad for years.
