Suva: The Namosi province has recorded 107 dengue cases. Acting provincial administrator Iakobo Waqanidrola revealed in a meeting that 14 cases were recorded at Wainadoi and 11 cases in Nasasa from January 2 to March 13 this year. In his presentation, Mr Waqanidrola said there were 10 areas in the province identified to have serious cases of dengue. He said Nabukavesi had six reported cases, Tokotoko area had seven cases, Vuninokonoko had five cases, Wainividio, Makosoi and Vunibau had six cases while Calia reported nine cases. Mr Waqanidrola said the Health Ministry had been creating a lot of awareness through its clean-up campaigns. He said the people of Namosi needed to assist the Health Ministry in tackling the spread of dengue in the province.
