Surrey: The riding of Fleetwood Port Kells was created in 2013 and was composed of Surrey North and Surrey Central. The new riding’s western boundary is, from north to south, Highway 1, 152nd Street to 100th Ave, 148th St to 88th Ave, and 144th Street to 68th Ave. The northern boundary is the Fraser River, but includes Barnston Island, the Eastern and southern boundaries run south along 196 to 88th Avenue, west to 176th (Highway 15) south to the Serpentine River and west along the Serpentine River to 68th Avenue.

Evolution:

Surrey North was held from 1997 to 2005 by Chuck Cadman who represented Reform, Alliance, Conservative and finally Independent. 2006 – 2008 Penny Priddy represented the NDP, 2008 – 2011 Dona Cadman for the Conservatives and 2011 to 2015, Jasbir Sandhu for NDP.

Surrey Central riding was held from 1997 to 2004, through the 37th and 38th Parliaments by Gurmant Grewal under the Reform, then Canadian Alliance, then Conservative.

In 2006: NDP 45.63%, Conservatives 27.74%, to Liberals 19.55%,
In 2008: Conservatives 39.35%, to NDP 36.17%, to Liberals 15.01%
In 2011: NDP 39.69.%, Conservatives 35.64%, and Liberals 18.38%
