Jaguar’s mid-size crossover F Pace luxury compact SUV has been a popular seller since its introduction in 2016, It still lays claim as  one of the sleekest, best looking SUVS’s around. For 2024, it continues with  a few minor styling updates, a revamped interior plus extra technology refinement. Changes for 2024 include:  Standard Black Exterior package, Additional USB charging ports, as standard heated steering wheel,  updated infotainment, and a larger touch screen system. The 2024 Jaguar F-Pace competes with such luminaries as the BMW X3, Genesis GV70, and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class.

Engine choices range from a 246-hp 2.0L turbo four unit to a 395-hp turbo inline six-cylinder version, At the top of the range is the extreme 542-hp supercharged 5.0L V8 version. As standard across the range is an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. There are three models starting with the entry-level F-Pace P250 has a 2.0-liter turbo engine. Stepping up to the P400 model as tested adds a turbocharged and electrically supercharged inline-six engine with mild hybrid assistance.  395 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque is available with is motor.

The F-Pace SVR P550 is the top-performance version with a hefty  supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 engine developing a mighty 542 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. The 2024 Jaguar F-Pace models  range from $67,000 to $103,600 MSRP. For the money  the Jaguar  F-Pace comes nicely equipped with features such as: 11.4-inch infotainment system featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android auto compatibility. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, and 12-speaker Meridian premium sound system is also standard.

Technology includes a Wi-Fi hot spot and a head-up display. Our P400 Dynamic S tester  had the sublime Carpathian Grey exterior paint,    Ebony perforated Windsor leather performance seats and a high quality interior trim level. Options included the extended leather package, cold Climate weather package  and much more. Total options on our tester came to a heady $12,400 added to  the base price $76,400. Additional options, and delivery boosted the final price to $90,660.

The revised cabin design is upmarket looking with a real luxury feel and execution. High quality materials, textiles and paneling are present along with nicely designed switchgears. The large 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system sits above the dash and operates s Jaguar’s latest  Pivi Pro infotainment system. It has impressive graphics, is easy to use works fasts and is configurable. The sporty ergonomics seats are comfortable and  occupant room and general comfort is very good. Ther is also good storage with  large front door pockets, a well-sized  glovebox and centre console. Rear legroom is generous and there’s an impressive 948L of cargo space behind the 40/20/40 split rear seat.

The Jaguar F-Pace comes with several standard active driver assistance features including automatic emergency braking, blind-spot assistance, driver condition monitoring, lane keeping assistance, front and rear parking sensors, rear traffic monitoring, and traffic sign assistance. Adaptive cruise control is standard across the entire range.

On the road, performance is in the F-Pace 400 is good, with quick  acceleration and a great exhaust note. There is a quick delivery of boost and a wonderfully fast throttle response from the six-cylinder engine. Torque builds up immediately when you hammer the car. The six-cylinder unit is inherently smooth, powerful  and yest is still docile  when you’re just pootling around. With your right foot down, you’re treated to a hugely entertaining performance and intoxicating driving experience. The Jaguar F-Pace suspension set up is tuned more for a firmer sporty feel, not to say its unduly harsh, but noticeably stiffer with the bigger tire and wheel option. Handling responses are in line with sporting nature, precise, controlled tracking, and cornering with just trace of body roll. The F-Pace’s steering is quick, delivering sharpness and confidence with ease and transmitting good road and tire feedback.

To sum up, the striking exterior styling, Attractive, luxurious interior, and enjoyable driving dynamics. It is an SUV that’s demands and deliver in retune stellar performance driving. Nothing much to complain about, you do get dinged if you opt for the more powerful engines, especially that top dog 512 Horsepower V8. The P400 is an excellent model to choose, a step up from the P250. Highlights are obviously that Jaguar badge, the curvaceous ,sensuous styling and pedigree. However, it’s a thoroughly practical everyday thoroughbred offering excellent performance, good interior room and excitement. A must for those looking for premium performance SUV with right pedigree.
