Kelowna: Kelowna RCMP Street Enforcement Teams arrested three individuals and the seized evidence to support the ongoing investigation. On August 1, a 3-month long drug trafficking investigation culminated in the search of a residence on the 1200 block of Leathead Road. Police subsequently obtained a search warrant for the residence and located drugs, cash, weapons and stolen property.
Police seized 61 grams of cocaine, 88.7 grams of methamphetamine, 244 prescription pills, 32 vials of anabolic steroids, 15.5 grams of heroin, 49.4 grams of marihuana, 11 grams of hash oil, 29.6 grams of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, $4100 cash, a taser-type weapon and a stolen motorbike during the raid.
Jonathan Orgill (33) and Kody Perrault (21) have both been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. Additional charges may be recommended pending further investigation.
The Kelowna Regional RCMP said they will continue to target prolific offenders and drug traffickers in an effort to reduce crime in the Central Okanagan.
