Vancouver: The search for an arsonist continues as officers from the VPD investigate three separate fires, intentionally set just hours apart on July 27th.
In all three cases, a man entered the public washrooms of various local shops and set fire to the contents of the garbage cans and waste bins.
The first fire was set at a business on Robson near Bute Street.
The second happened about an hour later at a coffee shop on Davie near Thurlow Street.
The third was started at about 7:30 p.m. at a restaurant on Mainland near Nelson Street.
There have been no injuries as a result of any of the three incidents and damage has been relatively minimal.
The suspect has been described by witnesses as white, in his mid to late 20s, with a medium build and short light brown hair. He was seen wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt.
Police will be canvassing for any potential video evidence from the affected and nearby businesses.
Investigators are asking anyone who has information about any of these fires to contact the Vancouver Police Department at (604) 717-2541 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
