VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA: After the success of our first ever Immigration Law Clinic on February 22, 2014 Ashton College extends its hand to the community by offering a second free session on March 22, 2014. Held on campus, Regulated Immigration Consulting professionals will be on hand to deliver free immigration legal advice and support.
Immigrating to a new country can often be an overwhelming process. There are many things to consider which go far beyond finding a house and enrolling children in school. The complex legal processes and changing Canadian laws can require expert advice to ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible.
At Ashton College, we recognize the struggles and challenges that new immigrants face. Many of our instructors and students have been through this very same process and not only have the accredited skills to help, but also the personal experience that allows them to relate.
This clinic will provide new immigrants with free one-on-one advice provided by regulated immigration practitioners. Current Immigration Consulting Diploma students will be shadowing each meeting.
Irina Ivan who graduated from Ashton College in May 2011, says that “Being an immigrant myself, I’ve always been interested in immigration. You cannot be successful without enjoying what you are doing. Canada is really just a country of immigrants, and the time I spent in Ashton’s Immigration Consultation program helped me to connect with other immigrants who had experienced the same problems as me and helped me learn about my new home as well as make new networks that have helped me in my career.”
