Vancouver: BCMCL vice president Harjeet Sandhu says British Colombia Mainland Cricket league 2014 season came to the end and Elite division final was played between Meralomas Cricket Club and Abbotsford Cricket Club at West Newton ground in Surrey on September 13. Meralomas Cricket club won the game by 13 runs to become 2014 champion. Meralomas lad by Cavan Dithmen, Nathan Owens, Jason Sandher, Dave McGowen who had great season this year had finished the regular season 13-1 and dominated the division. BCMCL celebrated their 100th year anniversary last year and this year total 71 teams played in BCMCL 2014 season. BCMCL have few players who represent Canadian National Cricket team, and Coach Mukesh Narula was also present to watch the final with Cricket Canada President Vimal Hardat, Cricekt BC president Rashpal Bajwa, and BCMCL Vice President Harjit Sandhu. Vimal Hardat Mentioned that City of Surrey got first Turf wicket for BCMCL in Surrey and it is going to help huge to growth and improvement of youth Cricket.
