BJPNew Delhi: Political parties in India are applying state-of-the-art expertise to reach voters. From bulk texts and voice messaging to micro blogging, LED screens and 3D technologies, the 16th general election is different in that parties and candidates are shedding the tech phobia to woo the tech-savvy electors. Bhartiya Janta Party is leading among all parties in technology use.
The BJP is using teleconferencing, LED ‘NaMo raths’ and bulk texts to earn brownie points among young voters. “Almost 250 specially designed vehicles fitted with an LED screen and GPS system have rolled out to the constituencies in the state, stopping at select three-four points and playing prerecorded audio-visual messages of Narendra Modi,” BJP MLC and campaign management in charge Lal Babu Prasad said, adding the latest additions to the BJP campaign are virtual public meetings using ‘3D Holographic Projection’ of NaMo.
