The School of Business at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is one of the largest undergraduate business schools in Western Canada. Offering a mix of certificate, diploma, and degree options, students get the skills and practical know-how to lead in business, and succeed in their chosen industry. Now, KPU’s expanded their business offerings with several diploma options catering to those that already hold credentials and boast a range of industry experience.
The post-baccalaureate diplomas—operations and supply chain management, technical management and services, and accounting—are designed to be completed in less than two years of full time study, with the flexibility to study on a part-time basis.
The operations and supply chain management program focuses on inventory control, warehouse management, procurement strategies, and tools and techniques for managing service operations. Operations and supply chain management graduates can also pursue a range of professional designations including the Supply Chain Management Professional designation through the Supply Chain Management Association of Canada, the Project Manager Professional certification through the Project Management Institute, or the ASQ certification through the American Society for Quality.
Alternatively, the technical management and services program creates a link between business management and technical expertise. Learners pursuing this program will develop technology plans that align with business plans in an increasingly technological environment. With a focus on critical thinking, analytic skills, and the use of data to make informed decisions, students who complete the technical management and services program are primed for a career as an emerging technical professional.
Or move towards a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation with a post-baccalaureate diploma in accounting. The program will provide further education in financial reporting, management accounting, finance and taxation and more, while fostering the necessary skills identified by CPA Canada.
