Pasta Amore Pizzeria Ristorante is the hidden gem of truly Italian cuisine in Metro Vancouver area. This is where you will find the true colors of Italy with red green and white, this is also where you will find BCs finest ingredients that are used to create dishes reminiscent of Northern Italy.

With the elegant yet, informant atmosphere, understated décor and covered patio has consistently gained it reputation of one of the best pasta place in town for locals, the customers know this eatery for its great food and great service.

I walked in on a weekday at around 1pm with the scorching heat and was still wondering what to order when the owner, Claudio Magagin graciously came out to meet me and suggested that we should try a few dishes which are very popular; I left the food selection on him.Because I knew he is in business for past 30 years, he will know what to serve us; he didn’t disappoint us in the food selection. Magagin opened many restaurants in Vancouver area before setting down with this one, he owned La-Rocca on Commercial Drive, then moved and opened PortoFino on East Hastings, and 13 years ago he opened Café Amore, which was opened for breakfast and lunch, but now Café Amore transformed into Pasta Amore Pizzeria Ristorante.

For appetizers the kitchen prepared us tiger prawns, with garlic butter and herbs with 8 huge pieces of prawns, with bruschetta, grilled bread fresh tomatoes with green onions herbs and virgin olive oil, food was absolutely delicious creation the amount of food they serve you it was plenty to fill us up, you can taste the freshness in every order that came, as soon as we were done with appetizers, arrived Spaghetti Matriciana onions, herbs in a spicy tomato sauce with shrimps and parmesan, another dish Linguine Maria, with mushrooms, shrimps calamata olives in a spicy tomato sauce with parmesan, penne Boscaiola, bacon, mushrooms, garlic in a cream sauce with parmesan and gourmet pizza,  4 different dishes arrived one after the other, the amount of food was enough to feed about 10 people, Every dish that arrived was piping hot and has its own texture and taste, the pastas were not over cooked, I can’t eat pastas that are over done, there were not two dishes or sauces that you can say were the same, The authenticity of the pastas is out of this world, it’s like you are full but you can’t stop eating, you can only do this if the food is that great, and believe in me the food is that great. I will surely to be back if ever I have craving for a nice Italian meal.



“Our signature dish is Penne Boscaiola and Spaghetti Maticiana, both these dishes are very original and sauces herbs and spices we use are from our homeland. I did my appretinship from my grandmother, who was known for her pastas. We also can serve our pastas in whole wheat and Gluten free in case people have issues with Gluten,” Said Magagnin.

“Our pizza are made from the scratch, everything we used in all our dishes are fresh, where ever we had restaurant we were known for our freshness and we want to continue our tradition  our motto remains the same to be able to provide something that no one else does, keep it simple and innovative” he added.

They are open for lunch and dinner, lunch is from 11:00 to 2:30pm Monday to Friday, and dinner is from Tuesday to Saturday from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, seating up to 75 people inside and out. fully licensed, you can book this restaurant for work party, anniversaries or any special events.
