Vancouver: Charges have been approved in a fatal collision that happened one year ago at the intersection of West 41st Avenue and Oak Street.

Shortly before 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 14th, 2015, a 68-year-old Vancouver resident was driving to work at Oakridge Mall. As he made a left turn onto West 41st Avenue, his vehicle was struck by a grey Audi headed north on Oak Street.

The 68-year-old Vancouver man driving the Suzuki was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and did not survive. The driver of the Audi was also transported to hospital. He was treated for minor wounds and released.

A detailed investigation included evidence the Audi was allegedly travelling at least 143 km/h.

Thirty-five-year-old Ken Chung of Richmond has now been charged with dangerous driving causing death.
