Volunteer for bike patrol – make a positive difference in your community


Coquitlam: Looking to make a difference in your community? Can you ride a bike? Do you have at least a few hours available per week? Then the Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam Community Police Stations are looking for you!

A Summer Bike Patrol Group is getting underway in both cities. These volunteers will act as extra set of eyes and ears for the Coquitlam Mounties with the responsibility to “observe, record, and report”.

Applicants must be:

  • 16 years of age or older,
  • A Canadian citizen, and
  • Able to pass a basic security clearance.

Equipment and training will be provided however basic biking skills are required.

You can pick up an application at any of the Coquitlam RCMP’s Community Police Stations or at the Main Detachment.

Application deadline is Friday, April 11th, 2014.Availability for the training session on Saturday, May 3rd 2014 between 9 am and 3 pm at The Coquitlam RCMP Main Detachment is mandatory. Please bring your own bicycle helmet and wear clothing according to the weather that day.
