Surrey: On July 12 a number of witnesses called 911 after seeing fire shooting of two cars, a white Nissan and a black Mercedes, speeding and cutting in and out of traffic near 139 Street and 88 Avenue in Surrey. After this incident on July 13 a number of cars were hit by bullets in the area of Scott and Wade roads in Delta.

Police are investigating to find the cars and the occupants. The shooting incidents have created scare among the area residents.

R.C.M.P. received a number of 911 calls from the area of 139th St and 88th Ave, Surrey last saturday advising that a white Nissan Vehicle was following behind a Black Mercedes. A press release of Surrey RCMP states that both of the vehicles were visibly speeding, cutting in and out of traffic. Both vehicles were seen travelling southbound on 136th St. from 88th Ave. The calls advised that the occupants of the white Nissan were firing shots at the black Mercedes, and additional 911 calls also advise that shots may have also come from the Black Mercedes. Police said that the exact number of shots is unknown.

Surrey General Duty members as well as Surrey Plain Clothes members attended to the area, to examine the scene as well as canvas the area.  Some evidence was recovered at the scene confirming that shots had been fired. Later a call was received by police reporting that a white Nissan Vehicle was following behind a Black Mercedes.

The vehicles were reported last seen heading eastbound on the Fraser Highway at 155th M.A. Hedderson, Staff Sgt. of RCMP said, “No reports were received of any injuries, but at least one other vehicle was struck by a bullet.”

Jaskaran Sahota, a daily walker in Bear Creek Park, said that the shooting incidents scared him about the security of his family and neighbourhood.
