Surrey RCMP is investigating after a female youth was injured in an altercation which took place on March 19, 2018, shortly after 10:00 pm, in the area of 88 Avenue and King George Boulevard.

The altercation stemmed from an argument which began at a near-by house party where approximately 100 youth were in attendance. Alcohol was a factor in this incident.

The injured 14-year-old youth was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Another 14-year-old female youth was arrested at the scene and later released on a Promise to Appear to attend court at a later date.

Early media reports indicated that this incident was a stabbing however, the cause of the victim’s injuries is still under investigation.
