Vancouver:  The Integrated Homicide Investigation (IHIT) ruled out of any foul play in the death of 21 year old Regina resident Nick Phongsavath at Pemberton Music Festival. IHIT said this in a statement after an autopsy of the victim was completed on July 21, 2014.

Nick was an engineering student in University of Regina.

“As a result of evidence found at the scene, witness statements and the autopsy completed on Nick Phongsavath, it has been determined that foul play is not a contributing factor in his death,” says Staff Sgt. Jennifer Pound.

The officer declared that this investigation is no longer staying within the IHIT teams and has now been transitioned back to the Sea-to-Sky Detachment of RCMP.

The IHIT had taken conduct of a suspicious death on July 18, 2014. Nick was found deceased inside his tent at the festival.
