Hindu Temple, Abbotsford, and Hope Gurukul, in BC, Canada jointly organized Ganpati Visarjan (Ganesh Ji’s Idol Immersion) on September 09, 2022, in Hope Gurukul located at 22580 Coquihalla HWY Hope, BC, Canada.
Three passenger buses fully packed with singing devotees and decorated Ganpati Ji Idols departed from Hindu Temple located at 31545 Walmsley Ave, Abbotsford BC, after 3 PM.
Devotees from Abbotsford Temple led by Mr. Jeevan Sharma (President) were welcomed by host Ms. Sharmilla of Hope Gurukul along with lot of other devotees who reached at immersion site in personal vehicles about 5 PM. All the devotees assembled at the banks of Coquihalla River after 5:30 PM. Decorated Ganesh Ji Idol with paraphernalia and with chanting of mantras was respectfully carried to the Visarjan site. Few devotees brought their own home decorated Ganesh Ji’s idol at visarjan site.
Abbotsford temple priest, Mr. Mohan Murari Tiwari led the devotees through the prayers and religious chanting. More then 150 devotees jointly prayed lord Ganesh to bless their households and return for the Puja next year.
Finally, lord Ganesh’s eco-friendly idol was respectfully immersed in container in Coquihalla
River about 6:30 PM.
All the devotees were served food and tea at Hope Gurukul.
Finally, devotees departed by 7:30 PM from Hope Gurukul with the everlasting cherished memories.
