Langley: Langley Police alleged that Lance James Flegel, age 18, was a passenger on a shuttle bus destined for the Langley bus loop from Willowbrook Mall.  Flegel appeared to be intoxicated when he boarded the bus and passed out en route to the bus loop.

The shuttle driver anticipated she would likely have an issue with Flegel and was met by another bus driver when they arrived at the bus loop.  Both drivers approached Flegel and asked him to leave the bus.  He started swinging his fists at both of them.  Fortunately, both were able to avoid getting hit.

Police allege he produced a knife and attempted to stab one of the bus patrons.  Once again, he did not injure his target. According to Langley police a random vehicle arrived at the loop and two males exited.  One of the men kicked the knife out of Flegel’s hand.

Police arrived at the spot and arrested Flegel.  He has been charged with Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and two counts of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
