Vancouver: Eric Kirkpatrick who was found guilty of killing his boss at a Christmas party in 2008 had appealed to get his life sentence reduced, but court has rejected his plea for reduction.  Eric was convicted of second degree murder in 2010 and sentenced to 15 years with no parole. He was 63 at time of committing the murder, his lawyers argued that sentence be reduced to 10 years as Eric was going through medical and personal trauma when the crime was committed.
