The free, family-friendly event features a range of interactive displays and engaging activities, with great prizes up for grabs. One lucky eligible attendee will even walk away with a tuition waiver worth $500. Guests can pose in the photo booth, snack on popcorn, and test out the huggable Coke machine. The open house is an ideal opportunity for prospective students and parents to take a guided tour of the campus, and speak directly with students, alumni, faculty, and advisors.
Also at KPU Langley on May 12 is the sixth annual Science Rendezvous event, a national day dedicated to celebrating all things scientific! Attendees can partake in hands-on experiments, tour interactive science labs, watch chemistry magic shows, make slime, visit nursing labs with high-tech simulators and get your blood pressure checked. Pop into the state-of-the-art brewing lab for a tour, or a tasting for those who are 19 or older.
Watch a dissection in the science labs, or take an intimate look at the life of bees. Connect with KPU’s horticulture programs and uncover the relationship between soil and plants, and check out a variety of puzzles, colouring stations, or design your own custom chair with the Wilson School of Design.
New this year, guests can check out virtual reality stations, test out a 3D printer, try a music remix and percussion workshop, and create their own flower bouquet just in time for Mother’s Day.
Both the Langley Open House and Science Rendezvous are free, family-friendly public events. Registration is recommended. Details are available at kpu.ca/openhouse
