Vancouver: Police have arrested a man who is believed to be responsible for a series of sexual assaults in the Oakridge area. A 25-year-old Vancouver man is now facing charges in relation to three alleged sexual assaults.

A VPD officer patrolling the Cambie Street corridor located the man who matched the description provided by three recent assault victims. He was arrested and taken to the police station for questioning.

Daniel Simmon Ghoukassian has been charged with three counts of sexual assault.

The first assault happened on May 12 when a 22-year-old woman was attacked at West 37th Avenue and Cambie Street. The second assault happened on May 14 when a 19-year-old woman was attacked at W. 45th Avenue and Cambie Street. The third assault happened on May 15when a 38-year-old woman was assaulted at W. 42nd Avenue and Cambie Street.
