Sicamous: The body of a 51 year old Calgary boater who went missing over the weekend was recovered from Shuswap Lake on Aug 18 morning.

Sicamous RCMP received a report of a marine incident on Shuswap Lake at Hungry Cove. The preliminary investigation suggested that a 45 foot vessel had crashed and the boat operator was missing and presumed drowned. A second man was below decks when the crash occurred and was later safely recovered with two dogs from the crippled vessel. He was transported to the Kelowna General Hospital for treatment and remains in their care.

RCMP with assistance from its Underwater Recovery Team attended the scene and successfully recovered the body of the missing Calgary man.
