Williams Lake: In Williams Lake and surrounding areas, now business is as usual for businesses. That is the message that Williams Lake and District Chamber of Commerce President, Jason Ryll is spreading. He says some people are avoiding the region because they are hearing that local waterways are affected by the Mount Polley Mine breach.

“Due to media reports, people heard the water is poisoned and toxic. I have no qualms about swimming or drinking the water in Quesnel Lake. I encourage people to come and visit businesses and see the resiliency of the people and the beautiful land that we want to offer to the world here,” sai Ryll.
