QUESNEL : Cariboo North MLA Coralee Oakes, in her role as Official Opposition Critic for Advanced Education, Skills Training and Sport, today illustrated how COVID-19 and all its variants is generating serious effects on post-secondary institutions in British Columbia.

Coralee met with student associations across the province to voice their concerns about their current situation and long-term effects on their academic experience. Prior to the pandemic, B.C. was home to world-renowned programs that attracted the best and brightest students from across Canada and around the world. Coralee contends that more investment will be required as academic institutions are suffering from falling revenues and being forced to cut programs.
