Lahore: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif gave an address on the occasion of Youm-i-Takbeer and said that Pakistan is fully capable of defending itself against any possible aggressive designs. The premier congratulated the nation on the event and said that the country’s nuclear assets were in safe hands, adding that it was for peaceful purposes.
On the subject of his recent visit to India, the prime minister said that the visit was a success and we want cordial relations with our neighbours.
Nawaz also said that a Karachi mass transit plan would be initiated soon and it would be a priority of the government to complete all the projects within its stay.
