New Westminster: The Pattullo Bridge will be closed to all traffic (including bicycles and pedestrians) for three weekends this summer for routine maintenance. The planned weekend closures are:

  • July 25-28
  • August 15-18
  • August 29-September 1

On the first weekend of closures, the bridge will close at 8 p.m. on Friday night and reopen at 3 a.m. on Monday morning. On the following weekends, the bridge will close at 9 p.m. on Friday night and re-open at 3 a.m. on Monday morning. Peak time morning rush hour should not be impacted.

As the bridge owner, TransLink must close the bridge so crews may repair and repave sections of the concrete deck on the 77-year-old span. TransLink will also take the opportunity to review the condition of the bridge driving surface and make improvements as necessary. Due to the nature of the work, the closures are weather dependent.

  • The N19 NightBus will re-route via the Alex Fraser and Queensborough Bridges.
  • The #321 on Sunday morning will end at Scott Road.

TransLink thanks everyone in advance for their patience while this maintenance work takes place.
