Vancouver: A special lunch meeting of Canada India Business Council(C-IBC) with BC Premier Christy Clark was held last week at the Ballroom of Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, Vancouver. The meeting was well attended and was a great success. Organizers said that more than 200 persons were in attendance at the occasion.
C-IBC official Vivek Savkur told Asian Journal that several Ministers of BC government and VVIP’s were present in the meeting. Premier Clark was received at the hotel by Santa Claus who escorted her to the dais. The ballroom was decorated in Christmas atmosphere. Vivek humbled that Christy Clark really loved the decoration of the ballroom. A sumptuous Indian Buffet Lunch was specially crafted for this event by a Chef from Udaipur. Incidentally Premier Christy Clark is leaving with her son for Udaipur very soon on a personal visit & holiday. She will be spending a couple of days in a village in Udaipur. She will also be visiting Varanasi and Shimla.
Vivek Savkur said, “Premier Clark is very strong on India and will be looking to develop and push BC trade with India in a big way. She was all for Modi and his policies. BC Trade with India this year has touched $ 439 Million.”
