Guy Turcotte’s appeal rejected

Ottawa: Guy Turcotte, the doctor who has been convicted of killing his two children will be retired earlier he was found not criminally responsible because of a mental disorder. He had stabbed Olivier, 5, and Anne-Sophie, 3, a total of 46 times. He then drank windshield-wiper fluid in what he said was a failed attempt to commit suicide. The Supreme Court of Canada said Thursday it won’t hear an appeal by a former Quebec doctor who is facing a new double-murder trial in the slayings of his young children.
