Officials say no evidence of leakage

Halifax: A shipment of 4 canisters filled with nuclear material which fell on board a container ship at Halifax terminal not leaking radiations, officials of Halifax Fire says. A shipping container holding four containers of the radioactive material uranium hexafluoride fell approximately six meters onto the Swedish-built Atlantic Companion. Investigators with the Canadian Transport Emergency entre arrived at the spot to ensure there is no leak. Uranium hexaflouride is a chemical compound used in the gas centrifuge process to enrich uranium, that is then used as reactor fuel or to arm nuclear missiles.
