Surrey RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in an arson which occurred in the Guildford area.

On May 19, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a structure fire at Fountain Tire / Speedy Glass in the 15300-block of Fraser Highway. The fire, which had engulfed the entire building, is being treated as arson. Investigators are seeking to identify a suspect and are releasing photos of a man who was in the area at the time of the fire.

The suspect is described as a 45-55 years old, medium build, with a bald head, and wearing a black ‘Che Guevara’ t-shirt.

“We are asking the public to look at these photos and, if they have any information, to please call Surrey RCMP” says Staff Sergeant Kirk Duncan, General Investigation Unit Commander. “Given how clear these images are, our investigators believe that someone in the public will be able to help us advance this investigation.”
