- Bhavnagri green chillies (non spicy) 8
- Oil 3 tablespoons
- Onion chopped 1 medium
- Ginger chopped 1 inch
- Garlic cloves chopped 4-5
- Roasted peanuts 1/4 cup
- Fresh basil leaves 8-10
- Fresh red chilli 1
- Honey 1 teaspoon
- Lemon 1
- Dark soy sauce 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
Give a small slit on the chillies on one side and roast them on direct flame till lightly charred. You can also roast them in a pan or in a preheated oven.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non stick pan, add onion, ginger and garlic and sauté till fragrant. Transfer into a bowl.
Heat 2 tbsps oil in the same pan, add slit sausages and sauté till they get lightly caramelized (lightly brown)
Dip the chilies in cold water and peel them. Slit one side almost completely and remove seeds.
Crush roasted peanuts, basil leaves, red chilli, sausages, coarsely in a chopper and put into a bowl. Add dark soy sauce, honey, juice of 1 lemon and mix well. Add a pinch of salt and mix.
Stuff this mixture into the chillies and serve at room temperature. You can even chill them before serving.
