Restaurant Kai Pai Chicken, with House Chili Sole with basmati rice and green salad.Red Ginger- Vancouver’s best Asian cuisine is located on Broadway at Oak Street. As I was window shopping on West Broadway I came across this place which have their lunch menu displayed outside the restaurant, so you don’t have to be intimated when you walk in and you can tell what you will want to order for lunch.  Lunch was pretty busy at this place, due to their lunch specials, I did the same thing, looked at the lunch menu and decided to go in, lunch items  starting at $7:25 and up, too good to be true.

I was seated by the window seat, which is the best place in the house, you can enjoy your food as well as you can also see what’s happening on the outside of the  restaurant and on the street. Every dish in here lives up to its unique and perfection creation, the plates are big enough to feed two people, creation and presentation is out of this world, even the service. The food service is so fast; the hot and sour soup arrived piping hot with shrimp flavored chips. I had a bit of sore throat, the sourness of the soup was just right to sooth my throat.  I hardly had any time to finish my soup the main course arrived. It was the owner’s creation with Kai Pad, boneless chicken with peanuts and red chili with fresh vegetable, such as crispy snow peas, carrots yellow and green peppers celery mushrooms asparagus with green salad and jasmine rice with house chili sole, sautéed fillet of sole with house chili sauce. tofu broccoli with coconut sauce.. The presentation was so perfect. The taste and fragrance from the basil you do not want to quit but keep on eating, I stuffed myself so much that dinner for me that night was out of question. The owner bought me small scoops of three different ice creams, which is black sesame, green tea and mango flavor; they were different but quite flavorful.

When asked how would he describe this cuisine, Kam the owner said, “ Singaporean cuisine, with Chinese and Malaysian flavor, we use Thai spices, this is the new age of fusion food, our food is spicy, but not overpowering for the taste and flavor”

“Our chefs have over 20 years of experience in cooking and they know what suites our customers, most of our customers are repeat customers, who come to eat here once and get hooked to the flavor and nothing else maters. The quality of our food, service and attention to detail has never changed, we are proud to deliver the old world Asian experience” Kam added.

This is such a high end Singaporean /Asian cuisine with low end price
