Salman Khan slipped in quietly to attend IIFA Madrid, Spain 2016 with the rest of the Bollywood fraternity and defiantly remained quiet to the ‘raped woman’ controversy and as he gears up to promote his ‘Eid release’ film Sultan. He still hasn’t issued any apology for his remarks.
Summoned by the Maharashtra State Commission for Women (MSCW) to appear in person on June 29, Salman Khan’s lawyer contested the ruling saying that it makes no sense to appear since National Commission for Women (NCW) has also summoned the actor for same charges and it’s doubtful that Salman will appear on the fresh date of July 7th.
Salman performed to loud applause in Madrid, Spain and mingled with every Bollywood star but surprisingly, none dared him to speak on his comments. Much was written about bad blood between friends turned foe Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan, who have not met since Sanju Baba’s release from prison, but the two bonded like lost friends in Madrid and yes, no surprise here as it was initiated by Sanjay Dutt!
Amidst all this comraderie, bonding and sheepish grinning as Bollywood partied to the defiance of all media present, Canadian Lisa Ray was the only one who courageously posted an Instagram picture with the morphed images of Bollywood stars Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Shilpa Shetty, Sonakshi Sinha & Farhan Akhtar standing next to Salman Khan at IIFA Madrid 2016 press conference titled, ‘Bollywood’s Most Progressive Stars Stand Next To Salman Khan Quietly’!
Lisa Ray, the star of Kasoor, Bollywood Hollywood, and Water, became the fourth female Bollywood star after Kangana Ranaut, Renuka Shahane & Sonal Mahapatra to be man enough to defy Salman Khan and the rest of Bollywood.
While Bollywood’s silence is baffling, many are surprised that Salman Khan is still the Official Indian Ambassador of RIO Olympics and it seems many have resigned to the fact that PM Modi’s blue eyed Salman Khan will continue defying every one and perhaps will never apologize!

That Punjabi films are becoming more and more popular in overseas territories is a known secret but Daljit Dosanjh’s growing clout became more evident as it was reported that Sardar Ji 2 made more money than the rest of all Bollywood films released last week. Anurag Kashyap’s much anticipated film Raman Raghav 2:0, Pulkit Samrat-Yami Gautam’s romantic Junooniyat and Dil Toh Diwana Hai failed to impress audiences and their combined total was way less than the opening weekend collection of Sardar Ji 2 as the film has been declared a huge hit all over the world.
