On June 18th at approximately 3:30pm, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in front of a business complex in the 7200 block of 192A Street.
Upon attendance, officers located a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his hand. The male was taken to local area hospital by Emergency Health Services with non-life threatening injuries.
According to information obtained at the scene, the victim was stopped in traffic when he fled from his vehicle and was shot at by suspects travelling in another vehicle. Police are receiving limited cooperation from the 34 year old Surrey male victim who is known to them. Subjects of interests have been identified and the Surrey RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Lower Mainland’s Integrated Forensic Identification Section (IFIS), is currently investigating.
Based on early findings of the investigation officers believe this to be a targeted incident.
