SURREY RCMP received a 911 call just after midnight last Saturday reporting that a male and a female had been assaulted in the area of 10200-block of City Parkway.  Police found a female that was laying on the ground in front of 10240 City Parkway. She was bleeding and was being assisted by a Transit Security staff member.  There was also a male with the female who had called 911.  B.C. Ambulance Service attended and treated both the male and female who were injured. The two were transported to hospital where they were treated for their injuries that were not life threatening.
Police spoke to the two as well as witnesses.  The male and female were approached by two males near the Gateway Skytrain Station.  An altercation developed between the four, and one of the two males assaulted both the male and female victim with an unknown weapon, which resulted in both the male and female being cut.
Witnesses described the two male assailants, as one being a dark skin male, possibly South Asian, wearing a dark coloured puffy jacket and had an unknown weapon.  The second male was described as white, wearing all black.
