rcmpSurrey: The suspect of a stabbing  at a secondary school in the 12800 block of 72nd Avenue has been arrested by Surrey police. Surrey RCMP said that 17 year the suspect involved in the stabbing incident yesterday was taken into custody a few hours after the incident.

He was arrested without incident at his residence. Charges of Assault causing bodily harm are recommended by police. The 18 year old victim is recovering in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Yesterday, the male suspect fled the school on foot after the incident. Police recovered the knife used in the commission of the offence. Surrey RCMP’s General Investigations Unit and Youth Section continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
