Surrey RCMP is advising the public that a third man has now been arrested and charged in relation to three robberies that occurred in Surrey and Delta earlier in the year.

On February 7th Surrey RCMP and Delta Police began a joint investigation after receiving reports of three robberies that occurred in both jurisdictions involving three suspects. Two of the suspects were previously arrested and charged. 

Investigators from the Surrey RCMP’s Robbery Unit and Delta Police’s Investigation Bureau jointly advanced the investigation. The third suspect was identified and warrants were issued for their arrest.

On May 1, 2019 Brandon Allen Mayes, 25 years old of Surrey, was arrested, and has been charged with:

• Three counts of Robbery 

• Three counts of Committing an indictable offence with face covered

• Two counts of Assault by threatening to use a weapon

 Mayes, and the other two accused, remain in custody.
