Surrey: On May 8, Surrey RCMP arrested three people in connection with a shooting which took place this weekend in the Guildford area.

At approximately 1:17 am, on May 5, Surrey RCMP officers on duty heard the sound of gun fire, east of the Surrey RCMP’s Guildford District Office. The officers patrolled the area and located an injured man in the 10300 block of 149A Street. The injured man was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

A suspect vehicle was observed leaving the area and was located in the 9500 block of 120 Street with the assistance of the BC RCMP’s Air 1 Helicopter. Three individuals associated to the vehicle were arrested and taken into custody. Two people have been charged in relation to the shooting. One person was released without charges. Investigators believe that this was a targeted attack.

On May 7, 2018, officers executed search warrants in the 9500 block of 120 Street as part of this on-going investigation.

The Surrey RCMP’s Serious Crimes Unit (SCU) is continuing to investigate. Further details will not be released by police at this time.
