Ty BurgessToday morning, as a result of the collaborative efforts of the Abbotsford Police Department and the RCMP, Ty Charles Burgess was located and arrested at a residence in Chilliwack.  Police would like to thank citizens and the media for assisting us with this important investigation.

Ty Charles Burgess, a 33-year-old man who is known to spend considerable amounts of time in the cities of Abbotsford and Chilliwack, is wanted in relation to a Canada Wide Parole Revocation.  Burgess stands 6’2” tall and weighs 216 pounds (see photo).  He currently is being investigated by the APD in relation to an incident that involved the ramming of an APD Emergency Response Team vehicle in mid-July 2017.

Ty Charles Burgess has criminal convictions for Robbery with a Firearm; Assault with Weapon; Assault; Break & Enter (3 counts); Disguise with Intent; Theft over $5000 (2 counts); Theft under $5000 (2 counts); Possess Stolen Property over $5000; Possess Stolen Property under $5000  (3 counts); Possess Stolen Property  (4 counts); Dangerous Operation of Vehicle  (2 counts); Operate Vehicle while Disqualified  (5 counts); Flight from Police in Vehicle; and Breach of Probation  (5 counts).

Burgess should not be approached or confronted.  Anyone who observes him should immediately call 911.
