sketchSurrey: RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect involved in an assault near Clayton Heights Secondary school in Surrey.

On July 27, the Surrey RCMP responded to a report of an assault on a 16 year old female. The victim was walking on a pathway behind the school when she was approached from behind by the suspect. The male put his arm around the girl’s neck who screamed, causing the male to let her go. He fled the area northbound on foot and, despite extensive patrols and the attendance of Police Dog Services, the suspect was not located.

After speaking with the victim and witnesses, police believe the suspect is a white male in his mid-thirties, 6 feet tall, with a medium build and dark hair. At the time of the assault, he was wearing a rusty/tan colored tank top, black shorts and sunglasses.
