Chilliwack: Jon orders, hang-glider pilot was handed down five months in jail for the death of Mexican student, Lenami Godinez-Avila, 27 on Tuesday. He has also been put on three years’ probation for causing the death of his passenger. The Chilliwack, B.C., courtroom on Feb 11 announced the verdict. Originally Jon had pleaded not guilty to criminal negligence causing death, but changed his plea to guilty on Friday. Godinez-Avila fell to her death on April 28, 2012. Investigations revealed that Avila was not strapped properly and she fell 300 meters while tandem hang- gliding with Orders.
