Vancouver: A VPD wagon travelling north on Gore Street was struck in the intersection by a car driven west on Hastings Street early this week.

The force of the collision pushed the wagon into on-coming lanes and onto its side. The officer driving the wagon had to kick out the front windshield to exit. Officers then climbed on top of the turned over wagon and removed the prisoner inside. The prisoner was taken to hospital as a precaution and found to be uninjured. The wagon driver and the man driving the other car were also not injured. Early investigations into the collision indicate the police wagon entered the intersection on a green light.
