Muktsar: In its drive against drug addiction, Punjab police has started involving its own personnel who have caught the habit. Muktsar police chief has directed all gazetted officers and station house officers (SHOs) in the district to prepare lists of cops who are hooked to narcotics. Five drug addict cops of Muktsar were admitted to Adesh hospital drug de-addiction centre.
It is said that due to demanding job role, cops get drawn to intoxicants mainly habit-forming drugs to beat work-related stress.
