Bruce Ralston

Surrey:Bruce Ralston, long-time MLA for Surrey-Whalley, will be nominated as the NDP candidate for Surrey-Whalley this Saturday, March 18.  The nominating meeting will take place the Central Surrey Library, 10350 University Drive starting at 1 PM.

Bruce was first elected in Surrey-Whalley in 2005 and won re-election in 2009 and again in 2013 with 66.5 per cent of the vote.

Bruce Ralston has lived in Surrey Whalley for 27 years. Bruce and his wife Miriam raised three children in the same Whalley neighbourhood where they still live. Their children, now in university, have attended local public schools and participated in a variety of community sports.

Bruce ran his own law business in Surrey for many years. He served two terms as a Surrey city councillor and nearly 12 years as a Vancity board director including several years as chair of the board.

Guest speakers at Bruce Ralston’s nomination include MLAs Adrian Dix and Jane Shin.  Penny Priddy will be on hand to official nominate Bruce as the candidate for the NDP in Surrey Whalley.
