Discover the power of a polytechnic education at Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s (KPU) upcoming Richmond Open House on Friday, October 19 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. As Canada’s only polytechnic university, KPU is dedicated to providing students with opportunities to gain valuable hands-on skills in addition to traditional academics. Get a first-hand look at the newly expanded campus, connect with students and faculty, and learn more programs and courses.
KPU’s Richmond campus will be a hub of free, family-friendly activities and entertainment throughout the day. Guests have the opportunity to meet with staff and faculty members from a broad range of programs and student services areas within the university, and can enter to win prizes, including a $500 tuition waiver.
The open house also offers attendees the opportunity to take a guided campus tour, exploring the university’s labs, classrooms, library, and study spaces. KPU Richmond is home to the Wilson School of Design, a new state-of-the-art building on campus in January 2018, adding 140 full-time seats to KPU’s design programs. The campus also houses an acupuncture lab, supporting the traditional Chinese medicine-acupuncture diploma, the first program of its kind to be offered at a public, post-secondary institution in BC, and the Faculty of Science and Horticulture’s sustainable agriculture program, which is unique to North America. A diverse mix of arts, business, and upgrading courses are also offered at KPU Richmond.
For more than 30 years, Kwantlen Polytechnic University has provided students with the skills they need for the careers they want. KPU offers a range of degree, diploma, certificate, and citation programs with opportunities for hands-on experience and experiential learning. Why stop at theory, when you can also harness the power of experience? Launch your career and make a positive impact on your community with experiential learning at KPU: where thought meets action.
