Sure to be a hit with the arts crowd, Renoir paints a vivid portrait of the master French painter. Through a series of vintage photos, old newsreel footage and quality interviews with current curators of art galleries, noted painters and just common folk we glean a glimpse into this complex man and how he set about to revolutionize modern art.  Consider to be one of the fathers of the Illusionist movement this is one fascinating look into a giant in the cultural world.

Beautifully shot with a moody soundtrack that perfectly complements the revered man’s life Renoir: Revered and Reviled is chalk full of wonderful descriptions of the man’s coveted work.  Like those paintings or not, there’s something for everyone to learn and behold in this gorgeous portrait of a one of a kind artist.
