Surrey: Existing and new members of Surrey Newton Rotary Club came together to announce the Fundraising campaign Surrey’s Got Talent!. During the event new members were also inducted into the club.

Speaking on the occasion, Kultarjit Singh Thiara, president of the club said, “Our club is the fast growing club in our whole district which includes 58 clubs.”

He added, “I am proud to present the Surrey Newton Rotary’s international event for this year, Surrey’s Got Talent! All proceeds from this event will be donated to build a high school in the Philippines. Philippines has been devastated by typhoons leaving large numbers of children without access to safe schools. A new school in one of the hardest hit areas will provide kids with the opportunity to get an education that otherwise would not be possible.”

Anyone who wants to participate in Surrey’s Got Talent can do so by sending a 45 second clip to SurreyGotTalent@gmail.com; deadline to enter is Feb 26th.
